The reggaeton duo Wisin and Yandel opened two additional performances of their concert “La Última Misión Tour” to be held in December at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico, José Miguel Agrelot, in San Juan.
In the afternoon hours of today, “The duo of history” announced through their social networks that they will perform on December 29 and 30, 2022.
With these two presentations, the twelfth and thirteenth function, they surpass by one the record of concerts that the singer Daddy Yankee had made at the end of 2019, when he did 12 in the month of December.
“At popular request, two new dates are opened, December 29 and 30”, read the message posted on Instagram announcing the new features.
For the sale of their first six performances, they achieved a sales record of 78,000 tickets. It is also the first time that the functions of an event are sold out in less than seven hours after the sale begins.
“We are more than grateful and excited with the reaction of our dear people in Puerto Rico and we are more than ready to leave everything on stage and close this cycle as a duo in the place we love the most and that saw us grow as people and as the artists we have become today. We always carry the name of Puerto Rico high and that will continue to be part of our history. Get ready, we’re all coming!” Wisin and Yandel commented in written statements.
The event will mark the duo’s goodbye after more than two decades of career.
In Puerto Rico, the show will be produced by Paco López, who thanked the artists for the opportunity to produce their first concert on the island.
“This series of concerts marks the closing of an indisputable legacy of these artists who are very loved in Puerto Rico and throughout the world. As we have always done, we will offer the public a high-class and unforgettable show,” said producer Paco López .
On the other hand, Jorge Pérez, CVE, regional manager of ASM Global, the company that manages the Puerto Rico Coliseum, added: “We are very excited about the enormous reception and record sales of performances in a single day for Wisín and Yandel, surpassing 78,000 tickets in just a few hours. We look forward to receiving our visitors at the Puerto Rico Coliseum to dance, enjoy and share with these stars of the urban genre who always delight us with a world-class show. Without a doubt, it will be a concert for history”.
The last time the duo performed at the Puerto Rico Coliseum, they held eight performances, so it is expected that this time they will equal the number of performances.
By provision of the executive order, to have access to the show it will be required to present evidence of vaccination or an antigen or PCR test with a negative result, with no more than 72 hours of having been carried out.
The Last Mission Tour kicks off on September 30 in Miami.
