Paula Shugart, former president of the international company, announced that Anne Jakrajutatip, a Thai businesswoman and CEO of JKN Global Group Public Company Limited, acquired the rights to the beauty pageants and that, henceforth, would be its legal representative in the world.
After learning the news, the new organization, headed by Anne Jakrajutatip, announced that for the 71st edition, which is currently taking place in New Orleans, United States, they would make new changes, among them, the design of the bands with the name of the countries and the parade in swimsuits.
A few hours ago and, to the surprise of many, the Miss Universe organization revealed, through its social networks, that as of this version, the presenter and comedian Steve Harvey would no longer be present in the conduction of the beauty pageant. In their place, they will be, as hosts, Olivia Culpo, former Miss Universe 2012, and the fashion expert Jeannie Mai Jenkins.
Backstage will be former Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Elisa Gray and television host Zari Hall. They will be in charge of receiving the contestants in the dressing rooms, once they are called to advance in the competition.
