With 12 appointments on the counter, The Power of the Dog by Jane Campion dominates the rankings and is positioned as the big favorite of the evening, after triumphs at the Golden Globes and the BAFTAs. Denis Villeneuve’s blockbuster Dunes, is placed in dolphin with 10 nominations. Kenneth Branagh’s autobiographical drama, Belfastand the West Side Story by Steven Spielberg both complete the podium with 7 nominations each.

Who will sing at the 2022 Oscars?

It is one of the traditions of the ceremony. The nominees for the Oscar for best song should follow one another on the stage of the Dolby Theater to defend their song. Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas O’Connell, Beyoncé, Diana Warren, Van Morrison and Lin-Manuel Miranda will perform there. The tube from the Disney animated film Encanta, “Let’s not talk about Bruno”, will also be played during the Oscars.
