Priyanka Chopra graces the February issue of British fashion magazine Vogue. The cover shows the 40-year-old wrapped in a yellow vinyl coat. The Indian actress and beauty queen provides further insights into the fashion series on her Instagram channel.

One photo in particular stands out: it shows Priyanka Chopra with her one-year-old daughter, Malti Marie. Against a red background, Chopra lies on the floor in a matching dress. The baby sits in front of her, which she gently hugs with both hands.

Like her mom, the little one wears a red dress. You can’t see the little one’s face. “Another of our many firsts together,” reads the caption.

Motherhood as “Favorite Role”

In the Vogue cover story, Chopra elaborates on her “favourite role,” motherhood. For a long time, she “worked at breakneck speed,” the fashion magazine quoted the actress as saying. Since Malti Marie came into her life, she “feels like I have a center, a sense of calm because every decision ultimately revolves around her.”

Hard start in life

Malti Marie Chopra Jonas was born in January 2022. “We are very pleased to announce that we have welcomed a child into the world via surrogacy,” proud parents Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas wrote in a statement on Instagram at the time.

Shortly thereafter, the 30-year-old US musician also looked back on Instagram at the first few months. He called it a “roller coaster ride” and said the newborn had to spend more than 100 days in intensive care. Malti Marie is “really a little heroine” and his Priyanka “an incredible mother,” he added.

Jonas and Chopra met in 2017 and married a year later.
