Pietro Lombardi is no longer just a singer. Now the entrepreneur and designer has tried his hand at writing children’s books. The result is impressive.

Cologne – Pietro Lombardi (29) is actually a singer according to the official job title. But that doesn’t mean that he doesn’t like to try other things. The musician, who won “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” in 2012, can do a lot more than just sing. Now he has tried himself as a children’s book author and the result hit like a bomb.

The artist had already revealed to his fans on Instagram last year that he was working on his own character, the Dino Tino. The little green dinosaur has big dreams, just like Pietro himself when he went to DSDS. Pietro has now made a whole story out of this figure. “Dino Tino and the Secret Music Camp” will be officially released on June 3rd and you can pre-order it now. It is these pre-orders that are already catapulting the 29-year-old father of little Alessio (6), whom Pietro has with his ex Sarah Engels (29), to number 1 on the Amazon bestseller list.

Pietro previously shared some details about the story with his fans on Instagram. For a clip in which he himself is magically sucked into the children’s book, he writes: “Team Lombardi, I don’t know where to start. I’ve had this dream of sharing my own children’s book with you for over ten years. It took me a long time to find the right partners and the right story. Here he is, DINO TINO. Dino Tino is a singing-loving Dino with lots of dreams.

He is passionate, sometimes shy, and the dinosaur boy faces all adventures with his friends in order to come closer to his big dream: He wants to take part in a music camp with his favorite band.” Pietro also shows a page from the book in a story and reads a piece written in rhyme to his followers. It says: “There are tens of millions of dangers in droves on Sauri. Therefore caution, caution, stop! And never go hopplahop.”
