Sex offender Ghislaine Maxwell comes forward from prison for the first time since her conviction.
Ghislaine Maxwell (54), who gave her first interview since her incarceration on the “Talk TV” show, shows that prison life is not a walk in the woods. She looks exhausted, her hair long and unkempt, her voice rough. The ex-girlfriend of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein (1953-2019) is in prison for human trafficking, among other things. The British woman is said to have mediated underage women for sexual favors to Epstein and other men for years and in some cases even participated in the abuse herself.
One of these men is said to be British Prince Andrew (62). His character brother of King Charles III. (74). Andrew is said to have sexually abused Virginia Roberts Giuffre (39), then 17, in 2001. On the one hand, the statements of the alleged victim are considered evidence, on the other hand, a photo that shows the prince entwined with the very young woman. The picture is said to have been taken in Ghislaine Maxwell’s apartment – she is grinning in the background.
“Don’t think the picture is real”
Speaking to British moderator Jeremy Kyle (57), the convicted sex offender claims that she believes this exact image is fake: “I have no recollection that the two have ever met. And I don’t think the picture is real. Not for a second.”
According to the detainee, there is “no original of the photo in question. Only copies of copies and parts thereof. According to experts, it looks like it was photoshopped. I don’t remember Virginia ever being in my apartment.”
Prince Andrew has his lawyers ready
Maxwell’s claims come at the same time as reports that Prince Andrew plans to engage a team of lawyers against Virginia Roberts Giuffre with the aim of obtaining an apology from his alleged victim. The Duke of York and the American settled out of court in 2022. This came after the FBI began investigating Andrew and Giuffre filed a lawsuit. The royal paid around 15 million francs. Andrew wants that money back. Palace insiders believe the prince wants to clear his name and resume his duties as royal. (grb)
The case of Prince Andrew
Plaintiff Virginia Giuffre (38) accused Prince Andrew (62) in a civil case in the United States of having repeatedly sexually abused her as a minor. She stated that she was a victim of an abuse ring set up by US multimillionaire Jeffrey Epstein (1953-2019) and his ex-partner Ghislaine Maxwell (60) during this time.
Maxwell had previously been found guilty of several counts in a US criminal case and later sentenced to 20 years in prison. Epstein took his own life while in custody in 2019. Andrew categorically denied all allegations, in February 2022 he had reached an out-of-court agreement with Giuffre. He is said to have paid her the equivalent of 15 million francs, including an amount to her charitable foundation for victims of abuse.
Prince Andrew and Virigina Giuffre have now settled out of court.
