Renaud will make his musical comeback by paying tribute to the artists who influenced him. His cover album is due out next May.

Three years later Kids and Kids First, he is back. Renaud will release a new album at the dawn of his 70th birthday, BFMTV learned, confirming information from the Parisian. The release date has not yet been revealed by his label, but the disc should arrive in May.

Concerning the songs present on the album, we will find classics of the French song which marked or influenced the very particular career of the artist. Françoise Hardy, Jean Ferrat, Hugues Aufray or even Serge Reggiani are planned.

A prime time in preparation

The album was produced between Paris and Isle sur la Sorgue (Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur), a city that has become the singer’s refuge for a few years. A first single must also be revealed very soon to officially launch the project.

For the occasion, Renaud could also make his return on a television set. France Télévisions is currently working on a program that will be broadcast in prime time. This must be recorded in public, at the Palais des Sports in Paris, and in the presence of several artists invited for the occasion.
