Schumi’s horse “Digger” is dead – daughter mourns


One of the horses with which former Formula 1 world champion Michael Schumacher took part in tournaments is dead. His daughter announced this.

The stallion “Gunners Enterprise” from the family of Formula 1 icon Michael Schumacher is dead. Gina-Maria Schumacher, who rode the animal like her father in western riding tournaments, said goodbye to “one of my best friends” on Instagram .

The horse was 18 years old and appears to have been euthanized. “It breaks my heart to let him go, but sometimes we have to make difficult decisions to do what is best for our animal friends,” wrote the Schumacher daughter on the social network. “Thank you for every mile we walked together”. At the age of 18 she became European Champion in western riding on “Gunners Enterprise”.

In family circles, the stallion was called “Digger”. He has been ridden in many competitions. Father Michael Schumacher took part in a tournament in Switzerland in 2012 on the back of his family friend. There is the family ranch where “Digger” probably died. According to the “Bild” newspaper, the stallion received a total of 20 million euros in prize money and was later used as a stallion.
