Anna Pieri Zuercher is very happy about her role as Isabelle Grandjean
Anna Pieri Zuercher, who grew up in francophone Switzerland, is very happy about her role as Isabelle Grandjean. In addition, as a big fan of the “Tatort” series, she hardly misses an episode, as she admitted in an interview. Nevertheless, she has a problem with the fact that too few diverse roles are still being assigned.
“All people should be represented in the “crime scene””
In an interview with “t-online.de”, the daughter of an Italian and a German-Swiss explained her criticism: “You address a much wider audience when everyone can find themselves in some character.” All people should be represented in the “crime scene,” “not just white men over 40,” she says.
Of course, there would also be many women’s teams or younger investigators. “Nevertheless, I rarely recognize myself when I watch ‘Tatort’,” she stated, adding: “The ‘Tatort’ must be open to diversity, not just in terms of gender.”
Anna Pieri Zuercher particularly likes the team from Dresden with Karin Gorniak
She likes to watch other “Tatort” episodes, if only because “to improve my German,” said the Italian-French native speaker. What she likes best is the idea that each “crime scene” comes from a different city and there is a new atmosphere every time: “It’s a surprise every Sunday, you never know what you’re going to get.”
She particularly likes the team from Dresden with Karin Gorniak (Karin Hanczewski, 40) and Leonie Winkler (Cornelia Gröschel, 34), as she admitted. She also raves about the Berlin “crime scene”. She continued: “I like to see the team from Stuttgart and the two young investigators from Saarbrücken are also interesting.” Some teams are very difficult for her to understand, “because they have such a strong dialect – especially the team from Munich – but I still watch them all,” emphasized the 43-year-old.
