TF1 formalizes the return of the best reality TV show in history 13 years after stopping it

While rumors have been circulating for several weeks, TF1 has finally formalized the return of Star Academy. This announcement was made this Tuesday, May 3 during an advertising break during the broadcast of Koh Lanta: the Cursed Totemand thrilled netizens.

More than 20 years ago, the French indeed discovered an extraordinary concept, combining both reality TV and TV musical hook. 16 apprentice musicians burst into the mythical castle of Star Ac’ on October 20, 2001 and viewers quickly became hooked on this new show: the star Academy.

The first season had also made it possible to discover a talent that is still on our screens: Jenifer, winner of the first edition, then others like Grégory Lemarchal, whose death had upset the whole of France, but also Elodie Frégé, Nolwen Leroy, or the teaser Jean-Pascal Lacoste. Nevertheless, on February 28, 2013, France had to say goodbye to its program after a lackluster passage on NRJ12.
