Fans of Alicia Machado will have to wait a little longer to see her on stage, as the artist suspended her show in Miami after presenting symptoms of COVID-19.
Through a statement published by Hispanomedio, the Venezuelan announced that she was canceling the function of her monologue “Si Soy Arrecha” because unfortunately she was going through a picture of general malaise, fever and body pain. According to the same agency, although they are similar signs, it would not be the virus that affected the entire world in the pandemic.
“Out of respect for you and giving priority to health, we have decided to suspend,” reported Hispanomedio in an Instagram story that the actress shared on her profile. “We appreciate her love, support and acceptance,” she added.
For those who have already checked the tickets, they are refundable or can be kept for another date, when Machado feels better and confirms the function, according to the organizers.
After hearing the news, many fans flocked to the artist’s social networks to give her words of support and wish her a speedy recovery.
The Gossip No Like program assured that the real reason for the cancellation of the show was not Machado’s health malaise, but rather low ticket sales.
“The information we have, is from a good source, is that unfortunately the sale was 10 tickets and sometimes the expense of opening a theater is a lot,” said Elisa Beristain, the host of the program. This information was not confirmed or denied by Machado .
