The Institute of Puerto Rican Culture (ICP) announced that this Sunday, April 24, the second edition of the Book Feast will take place at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MAC) in Santurce from 11:00 noon to 5:00 p.m.
“This event represents a great opportunity for authors to exhibit and promote their work to new audiences. For us it is very important to continue promoting activities like these, which promote the economic development of creative industries”, said Carlos Ruiz Cortés, executive director of the ICP.
During the event there will be more than twenty independent publishers and booksellers who will participate by exhibiting and selling books.
Those present will be able to enjoy a conversation with the renowned author Magali García Ramis and moderated by the writer Ana Teresa Toro. The event that coincides with the Timbiriche Design activity, will feature artisans and plastic artists.
“With this new collaboration with the ICP we consolidate our usual support for the creative industries, this time in the field of literature, enhancing the visibility of writers and publishers who join the Madres edition of the long-awaited Timbiriche art and design fair. . It will certainly be a great opportunity for people, in addition to buying gifts, to enrich themselves with a diverse cultural offer,” said Marianne Ramírez Aponte, executive director and chief curator of the Museum of Contemporary Art.
The Fiestón del Libro is a free event and is part of a collaboration agreement between the MAC and the ICP.
