Last Saturday, “The Masked Singer” started its sixth season on ProSieben. However, there was a bitter premiere right at the beginning, because the moderator Matthias Opdenhövel was absent for the first time due to a corona infection. The TV broadcaster also took a lot of time to announce who would sit on the Rateteam chairs this time – the fans were therefore already hoping to see new celebrities there who have to unmask the masked VIPs with their singing performances.
But the long-awaited change was not to come: Ruth Moschner and Rea Garvey form the permanent guessing team for the fourth time. In addition, another guest is brought in every week. Initially, viewers on social media were disappointed with the cast, but were happy about guest Ralf Schmitz, who was involved in the format for the first time. The joy was even so great that the fans are now making an urgent request to ProSieben.
Fans want Ralf Schmitz permanently in “The Masked Singer” advice team
Ralf Schmitz enjoyed his appearance on “The Masked Singer” as did the audience. On the official Instagram page of the Mummenschanz format, the comedian summed it up: “It was amazing. Guys, it’s so incredibly difficult to come up with these names. It’s so exciting, it’s great. It was a mega experience and it was a lot of fun guessing here. So everyone who is allowed to guess here has had a go‘ he happily said afterwards.
Meanwhile, fans are sad that someone else will be sitting next to Ruth and Rea in the coming week. In the comments on the Instagram post, the general tenor is therefore: “Ralf Schmitz should always be on the guessing team!” and “Please leave Ralf in the team! It was so wonderful. And Thore also brings a breath of fresh air.” The Opdenhövel replacement Thore Schölermann, who was already part of the show as a monstronaut, also received a lot of support.
And Ralf should not only come back, but above all replace a member of the advice team permanently, if the fans have their way: “He was awesome, he should stay, give the square in the middle a breath of fresh air!”, wrote a user, meaning Ruth Moschner’s usual place. Another commenter even got to the point very clearly:
“Could you please make Ralf Schmitz a permanent member of the advice team and take Ruth out?”
So far, ProSieben has not responded to the fans’ demands – it also seems very unlikely that the advice team will be replaced during the current season. Perhaps the broadcaster is finally considering a change for an upcoming seventh season, which can still be expected in 2022.
A mask in particular makes the fans ponder
After all: The current masks are well received by the audience. The character named Galax’SIS is particularly popular. At least there is something new about this costume: the singer hiding underneath is always accompanied by two dancers. That’s why the audience also suspects that it could be Joana Zimmer, who is blind – and would therefore need an accompaniment to show her the way on and off the stage.
Whether it’s actually the former “Let’s Dance” candidate will become clear in the next five “The Masked Singer” episodes. On April 23rd, the last masks will definitely fall in the grand finale.
After three celebrities, Caroline Bosbach, Lilly zu Sayn-Wittgenstein and Timur Ülker, had to pause on “Let’s Dance” due to the corona last week, the celebrity cast is complete again this Friday. But there is a failure among the professional dancers: Kathrin Menzinger tested positive for the corona virus and is not allowed on the floor. In her place, Regina Luca dances with artist and “Ninja Warrior” winner René Casselly.
