These beauties wore the crown of miss Litoral

Today, March 23, Bolivia commemorates the Day of the Sea for the loss of the department of the Litoral due to the invasion and the War of the Pacific. For this reason, SOCIAL leaves you with a photo gallery of the beauty queens who wore the crown of that long-awaited lost territory.

Miss and Miss Litoral have been chosen since 1977. Margarett Salame was the first winner in the history of Miss Bolivia. In 1978, the title went to Teresa Toro and in 1979, to María Cristina Justiniano.

The representatives of the Bolivian coast are chosen among the candidates born in Santa Cruz, a department that holds the record for crowns obtained in the national contest.

Curiously, the winners of the Litoral titles always stood out in Miss Bolivia and represented the country in important international contests, such as Miss Universe, such is the case of Desirée Durán (2005), Yéssica Mouton (2011), Gabriela Oviedo ( 2004), Helga Bauer (1996) and Sandra Rivero (1994).
