Travis Barker was hospitalized last week. Now the Blink-182 drummer has spoken out about his health.
Concern for Travis Barker was great: On Tuesday, the musician was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center with an acute inflammation of the pancreas. Shortly after, the Blink 182 drummer took to Twitter and said, “God save me!” His daughter Alabama’s post on social media also sounded worrying. “Please send your prayers,” wrote the 16-year-old.
Now Travis Barker has reported on Instagram and explains to his fans what happened. “I went for an endoscopy on Monday and felt great. But after dinner I got excruciating pain and was taken to the hospital,” said the 46-year-old.
A “very small polyp” was removed during an endoscopy. “Unfortunately, an important drainage tube of the pancreas was damaged in the process,” said Barker. This led to “severe, life-threatening pancreatitis”. However, after “intensive treatment” Barker is “much better”. He was “very grateful”.
