US court schedules trial of actor Pablo Lyle for murder in July

A United States court scheduled this Thursday for next July the trial of Mexican actor Pablo Lylewho is accused in a Miami court of the involuntary manslaughter of Juan Ricardo Hernández during a fight that occurred in 2019.

During a virtual hearing, Judge Diana Vizcaíno heard both parties this Thursday and scheduled both the status hearing and the trial for July 8.

The process, which began in April 2019has had several delays, some due to the pandemic.

Lyle’s defense noted in court today that expects to have the testimony of two “key” witnesses, relatives of Hernandez, 63, to discuss his “attitude and behavior” on the day of the fight.

The actor faces a judicial process after hitting Hernández on March 31, 2019of Cuban origin and who died four days later in a hospital.

That day Lyle was on his way to the Miami airport along with his son in a vehicle driven by his brother-in-lawLucas Delfino, when they passed the car driven by Hernández.

At a traffic light, the Cuban got out to reproach Delfino for a maneuver he had done and in the middle of that discussion, Lyle got out of the car and hit Hernández, who, according to the images collected by the security cameras of a nearby gas station , collapsed instantly.
