Vanessa Bryant and Nike have renewed their contract in tribute to Kobe Bryant and their daughter Gianna.

To pay tribute to her husband, Kobe Bryant, and her daughter, Gianna, Vanessa Bryant has decided to renew her partnership with Nike. On her Instagram account, the 39-year-old mother announced the news. “We are very happy to announce that our contract with Nike has been renewed! I am so proud that my husband’s shoes are still the most worn among NBA players and that the demand from all his fans around the world remains as high as ever,” she wrote in her post. To accompany her words, the American philanthropist shared a photo of the Nike and Mamba Mentality logos.

The former basketball player’s wife also revealed that the partnership will “soon give fans access to Kobe and Gigi products from Nike for years to come.” The brand will also donate “100% of annual net proceeds for Gianna’s shoes to the Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation (M&MSF)”. Even better, they decided to “establish a youth basketball center in Southern California that will share the Mamba mentality with young athletes for generations to come.”

The contract between the Bryant family and Nike ended last April. At the time, the former model said she hoped to “forge a lifelong partnership with Nike that reflects the legacy” of her husband. Kobe Bryant and their daughter Gianna both died in January 2020 after their helicopter crashed in California. Seven other people, including the pilot and three teenagers also lost their lives in the crash. The couple are also parents to three other children, Natalia (19), Bianka (5) and Capri (2).
