Is life too hard for Vicky Krieps? This is what she seems to have wanted to say on Sunday March 20, 2022. Indeed, via her Instagram account, the last companion of Gaspard Ulliel shared an enigmatic message but which can be heavy with meaning if we hang it up on the latest events that ‘she has lived. “Life is a Dino” she indicated in the caption of several drawings of dinosaurs that she herself drew. On these, we can notably see the extinct creatures roar, revealing a certain fear. “A child’s drawing that takes on its full meaning in the face of a sometimes cruel life, but an angel is watching over you” has also commented on a user.

So, is Vicky Krieps actually referring to the cruelty of life? As war rages in Ukraine and she lost her mate in January 2022, this may be entirely plausible. As a reminder, the Luxembourg-born actress lost the man with whom she had found love again on January 19. At only 37 years old, the actor has indeed succumbed to his injuries after his serious skiing accident. A disappearance that had greatly bruised her. “Incredible, unacceptable, I think of him often and I think of you. It’s hard…and unfair. We can’t do it” had then shared on Instagram. She then went to Paris on January 27 at the St Eustache church for the funeral of Gaspard Ulliel.
