Virginie Efira will be the mistress of ceremonies for the 75th edition of the Cannes Film Festival. The Belgian actress, recently nominated for the César for best actress for her role in Benedetta by Paul Verhoeven, was appointed to present the opening and closing ceremonies. La Croisette will welcome moviegoers from around the world from May 17 to 28, 2022. Virginie Efira, 44, succeeds Doria Tillier. Both ceremonies will be broadcast on France Televisions. Canal+ ended its exceptional partnership with the biggest festival in the world after 28 years of collaboration.
