what is the origin of his powers and where does the bracelet come from?

The first episode of the Marvel series for Disney + left more questions than certainties about where the young Kamala Khan’s abilities come from.

The first episode of “Ms. Marvel ”recounted the origin of the young superheroine, which is completely different from the one she has in the comics, as well as Kamala Khan’s abilities in the jump from the role to the screen.

The irruption of a non-existent bracelet in the staples left a number of questions about where it came from and its possible links with cosmic forces or extraterrestrial beings.

The powers of “Ms. Marvel” in the Disney + series seem to come from a bracelet that she inherited from her grandmother. Although it is time to refer first to how the young woman obtained her powers in the comics.

On paper, Kamala Khan is tied to a group of cosmic beings known as the Inhumans, a genetically engineered offshoot of humanity that was created by alien experiments millennia ago.

The Inhumans abandoned the human race to live communally in a secret city called Attilan. At puberty, each Inhuman was exposed to a mutagenic substance called the Terrigen Mist, which caused them to develop their own superpowers.

But the Disney+ series shows that Kamala’s incredible abilities have a very different origin. After putting on her grandmother’s bracelet, the young woman has a mystical experience very similar to the exposure of the Terrigen Mist.

A strange mist flows through his body from the bracelet and when it reaches his head, he is plunged back into a vision of another dimension, in which he sees countless people. This could be the way in which her powers arose thanks to the appearance of the bracelet.

The bracelet gives Ms. Marvel the ability to create energy constructs, as well as force fields, powers similar to those of the Invisible Woman from “Fantastic Four”, something that will surprise fans, given that the redesign of her powers was made to prevent him from having Mister Fantastic-like abilities. Although Kamala is unaware of her origin, she shows a clear enthusiasm for them, inadvertently causing chaos at AvengerCon.

Taking into account that the bracelet is an unprecedented object in the UCM, fans have launched theories and one of the most powerful and logical is that it is a cosmic object that will serve as a link between the Disney + series and ‘The Marvels’ , the long-awaited second solo adventure from Carol Denvers. If this link were real, it would mean that the bracelet is cosmic in nature.

Another theory is that it could be of Kree origin. The bracelet has a series of strange symbols reminiscent of Inhuman writing seen in Agents of SHIELD. However, there is a sun shape that is similar to the logos used by the Kree in the comics.

Given that the Kree have a special role in “Captain Marvel” and their appearance is more than assured after seeing the Kree in the post-credit scenes of “Spider-Man: Far From Home” and “WandaVision”, it would not be strange if they were related with Kamala’s ancestors.

What’s more, Kamala’s new abilities are reminiscent of Quasar’s quantum bands and Nega Kree bands, which would make it not surprising that, on her way to television, both were combined.

Although everything points to a cosmic nature or an extraterrestrial origin, something that cannot be ruled out is that it is the way in which Marvel reintroduces the Inhumans and that the bracelet is the key to awaken the Inhuman gene. That would fit into the halo of mystery behind them and, remember, the second season of “Agents of SHIELD” explored similar ideas.

Both in one case and in the other, we will have to wait for the remaining five episodes of fiction. It will be June 15 when 1×02 can be seen. Every Wednesday, until July 13, Disney + will launch a new installment, with which fans hope to answer their questions.
