Where and when to see the 2022 Platinum Awards?

Miami.- The ninth edition of the Ibero-American Film and Audiovisual Platinum Awards celebrates the most outstanding artists and productions of the last season. The ceremony, conducted by the Argentine singer and actressto Lali Espósito and the Spanish actor Miguel Ángel Muñoz, will be held in Madrid next Sunday May 1, and will be broadcast live on TNT.

It will be from 3 in the afternoon, that the coverage will begin with the pre-show Punto de Encuentro, at 2 in the afternoon, the gala will also be broadcast by TNT Series, once its broadcast on TNT ends.

The main candidates for the new Platinum Awards in the film category are the Spanish films El Buen Patrón, with eleven nominations, Maixabel (8) and Parallel Mothers (7), while on television the advantage is on the side of the Argentine series El Reino, with six nominations, followed by the Spanish series Hierro (3). This year, the Platinum Honor Award will be given to the outstanding Spanish actress Carmen Maura, a recognition that seeks to highlight the successful careers of some movie stars in the region.

Among the most important film categories, the Best Ibero-American Fiction Film presents the nominations of The Good Pattern (Spain), Parallel Mothers (Spain), Maixabel (Spain) and Night of Fire (Brazil / Mexico). The Best Female Performance has the candidacies of Ángela Molina (Charlotte), Blanca Portillo (Maixabel), Ilse Salas (Plaza Catedral) and Penélope Cruz (Parallel Mothers). For its part, the Best Male Performance announces Eduardo Fernández (Meditarráneo), Javier Bardem (El Buen Patrón), Luis Tosar (Maixabel) and Rodrigo Santoro (7 Prisioneiros).

On television, the main category for Best Ibero-American Cinematographic Miniseries or Teleseries has El Reino (Argentina), Isabel (Chile), Luis Miguel: La Serie (Mexico) and Narcos: México (Mexico) as applicants. The Best Female Performance in a Miniseries or TV Series has the nominations of Candela Peña (Hierro), Daniela Ramírez (Isabel), Maribel Verdú (Ana Tramel. The Game) and Mercedes Morán (The Kingdom). In Best Male Performance in a Miniseries or TV Series, the candidates are Chino Darín (El Reino), Darío Grandinetti (Iron), Diego Boneta (Luis Miguel: La Serie) and Javier Cámara (Venga Juan).
